Hitting the Road...Along With Half of America

We're prepping for a Thanksgiving road trip next week.  In a perfect world, we'd reach our destination in 9 hours.  I'm praying we make it in 12.  I'm going out this weekend to buy new movies to hopefully keep everyone quiet for at least half of the trip, and a bunch of sugary snacks to keep them happy for the other half.  We'll see.  We road-tripped in August to Vermont, but that was about half the time, and the last time we made this trip to North Carolina at least 2 of my kids weren't talking much.  So, now we have double the noise and double the opinions as to whether we watch Despicable Me 2 again (my vote) or Looney Toons (my kids' vote, which I hate!)  My younger, unmarried brother is driving with us this year.  I think that this trip may ensure that he never has kids.  

I'll be publishing next week, but probably not until after the turkey.  Look for the newsletter next Friday!
